"The designer's job is to fight, to fight against the ugliness in the world"

When I first heard this quote by famous designer, Massimo Vignelli, it resonated with me.

As a follower of Christ, fighting against the ugliness in the world is something I feel called to do anyways on so many other levels.  So when I first heard this quote it felt like a neat alignment. Fighting ugliness in non-violent ways is really what I want my life to be about on multiple different levels!

I had been working in the web and design world for almost 15 years when I decided to pursue another opportunity. That opportunity didn’t work out the way I hoped it would.  I now find myself working as a software trainer for an accounting company here in Regina, Saskatchewan. While I’m thankful for the job, each day I find myself thinking back towards design. I find myself missing the creativity my old career required of me and I can’t help but feeling I’m not currently doing or being all that I am uniquely called to be.

With that in mind, I have been praying that just the right opportunity would come along. An opportunity where I could once again be involved in design, creativity, organization as well as building important relationships that inspire, encourage and sustain both me and others around me.  My ideal career would be working for an organization that is clearly making a difference in our world and mixing everyday task-based activities with creative adventures that challenge me. From what I’ve read and understand about this position, it may just be a great fit and a win-win. So I’m very excited about the opportunity and speaking further with you about that.

Thanks for your time.
Please enjoy looking through my portfolio.

I look forward to speaking with you.

have said about their experience working with me.
